Fanfare for Deterioration

about

A Fanfare for Deterioration, for four detuned Violins, Electronics and Electronic Playback.
This musical hyper-drama is played out as a multiple headed demon speaks, as it feasts on a  failing society, and defecates its toxic words. The speech collides with a sacred Hebrew text that I grew up hearing through out my life, Bereshit ( the story creation of the universe, the earth, formations of nature, animal and human forms) As four detuned Violins enter the drama in disharmony they embody haunting voices of mourning, pain, angst and desperation (each of the four  violins symbolizes a passing year) The three character distinctions are glued together with the fanfairing sounds of vibraphone ( both struck and bowed) and dissonant lo-fi digital tones. The three characters, the multi-headed demon, the fading story of creation, and the 4 mournful violins are all trying to puncture through a very dense convoluted digital cloud, all competing to be heard.
